[SCOM 2007 R2] Overrides order
Hello everyone, I am implementing SCOM 2007 R2 and I am defining the overrides for the default rule set. Now I have created a group of servers where I applied an override to: Alert at 2 GB free space and Error at 1 GB free space. So far, so good, but now I want to create another rule and apply it to the same servers but then with another group name. The rule states: Alert at 4 GB free space and Error at 2 GB free space. I was wondering what will happen: - Will there be 2 alerts generated? - What will the server status be at 3 GB free space?

Hi. I think as long as you are created separate monitors, this will work. When the Critical 2 GB threshold is hit, the health explorer for that monitor will turn red. Then, when the 1 GB threshold is hit, that monitor's health will turn red. We do something similar, with one monitor to alert strictly on free space percentage and the original out of the box Logical Disk Free Space monitor from the Server MP. They work well together.Layne, 2011 Microsoft Community Contributor Recipient

If you want to create another rule then: - Will there be 2 alerts generated? Yes, if your new rule is configured to fire an alert. - What will the server status be at 3 GB free space? Healthy. Rules doesn't affect a State. If you want to create another monitor then: - Will there be 2 alerts generated? Yes, if your new monitor is configured to fire an alert. - What will the server status be at 3 GB free space? Warning.http://OpsMgr.ru/
